Privacy policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Beyond The Markets (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website and the members’ charts, why we collect it, and your rights. We are the data controller. You can contact us about privacy at any time through our Support page.

What we collect

  • When you register: your first and last name, email address, password (stored encrypted, we can’t see it), the broker you trade with and your broker account number.
  • When you use the site: log-in cookies so you stay signed in, and technical information our hosting provider records (such as your IP address and browser) to keep the site secure.
  • On your own device: the charts save your settings (markets, timeframes, indicators, drawings, layouts and alert choices) in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • When you message support: the messages you send us on Telegram.

Why we use it

  • To check that your broker account was opened through our partner link, so we can give you free access (we compare your name and account number with our broker partner portal).
  • To run your account: log you in, show your membership status and email you about your application.
  • To answer your support questions.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

Our legal bases are: providing the service you asked for (your membership), our legitimate interests in running and protecting the service, and your consent where we ask for it.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information. Our website hosting provider stores it for us. We don’t send your details to the broker; we only look up your account in our partner portal. Telegram handles support messages under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details while you are a member. If you ask us to delete your account, or your application is not approved, we delete your details within 90 days unless we need to keep something for legal reasons.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Contact us through the Support page. If you’re in the UK and unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
